Uninstall that stuff. Actually, you can uninstall PT and everything and then re-install protools and all your sessions will be right where you left them. I hope others will learn from your mistake(which many of us have made). DON"T CHANGE ANYTHING in the middle of a project, unless you HAVE A BACKUP PLAN! And, you should always have a backup plan. This is why I always have a cloned system drive of my last known working configuration. I hope you get it sorted out.

If its important, back it up!

NOW

in 3 places!!

Not nagging at anyone.....I'm just sayin'

Uninstall the Native Instruments stuff. You might even try restoring your system to a previous point via apples timecapsule if you use that.

First of all, I'm glad your problem is solved. I read here on the DUC that many folks are not happy with NI's customer support and their products have not been keeping up with the Protools 8.0 version upgrades. I have an earier version NI Komplete on my PC with PTLE 7.4 and it still runs. I'm hesitant to load it on my Mac with PT 8. Anybody have first hand experiences they'd like to share (good or bad)?

Native Instrument plug-ins have to be rewritten from the ground up before they will work directly with Pro Tools correctly and it's a huge undertaking that will take a very long time.

I don't want to name names but I heard this info from a direct contact at NI and it doesn't seem to be an kind of surprise - We all know how bad their RTAS stuff is and how it crashes / vaporizes Pro Tools and it's been getting worse for years.

I installed NI Komplete 5 on my PT HD 8 rig and it basically brought my Mac Pro to it's knees. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

NI's site says ABSYNTH 4, B4 II, GUITAR RIG 3 (including XE), REAKTOR 5, PRO-53 are supported. http://www.native-instruments.com/in...?id=leopard_us

Digi's site only shows Absynth, Reaktor and B4 II are the only 3 that are tested and supported http://digidesign.com/index.cfm?lang...n=news_details

Sucks because I love their software.
