I might be mistaken, but I solved the same issue (same setup as yours) with 5.1.3 CS10.

Default waiting for sync

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm sure this used to work:

burst to USD and DA-88. TC from DA-88 to USD, PT online in record. Hit play on DA-88. Waving hand comes up and PT tries to sync over and over. TC in session setup is jerky and updates sporadically.

If PT is merely online and not trying to record, it syncs immediately and TC in session setup is fine.

I can record digitally just fine with the DA-88 locked to burst and with no USD.

Thanks for any help! BTW...PT 5.1.3cs8

I can try that, thanks. It's weird...everything works fine with just one AES/EBU pair in record on PT, but add another pair and the whole thing goes into the waving hand, then online and rec lights on, then waving hand, etc. I thought it was our switcher, but even when I assigned the same AES/EBU pair to PT 1,2 and 3,4, it still balks.
