Default HDX and Omni not showing up in the "playback Engine" dialog

Hey all first post.

I recently dove deep and picked up an HDX card and Omni Interface. After installing all the hardware and software (as far as i can tell) the HDX card and the OMNI arent showing up in my audio interface options when i launch Pro Tools.

i have installed and reinstalled both the HD drivers and Pro Tools itself several times.
Both of the devices appear in DigiTest just fine, and from there i was able to update the firmware for both devices but still nothing.

Haaaaaalllllp!

Hey

Try launch PT with the N key held down and see if you see the Interface there when the popup appear.

Yup tried that after parusing this forum. No Dice. Same "windows audio device" options as if i had launched PT normally.

First I have to ask : do you ha e a PT HD license on your ilok key!?


Did you click the install HD Driver when you installed Pro Tools!?

There should be a HD driver installer in your avid account. Look there and reinstall that and see if that helps.

Also make sure you trashed your preferences and databases.

Yup Did that. Installed the HD Driver and Pro Tools from scratch. a couple times.

I guess it couldnt hurt to try again. Who knows. Technology is awesome.

Are you 100% sure you have the HD PT version on your ilok, not just PT12?

Try doing a 'factory reset' on the omni. Page 50 of the Omni guide.

That did it for me when I first installed the Omni.

So can you let us know what PT version you are using, what ilok key you have and how you got the HD12 license? Is it in your name and account?

Default HDX and Omni not showing up in the &quot;playback Engine&quot; dialog

This trends to occur when the AVID HD driver is being accessed. Could be the default system settings or even a program.
