Beat Detective 9022 error
All you guys who've used this:
I'm time correcting a four bar phrase of drums. I've been using BD successfully the last couple of days and on much longer sections. But today this happens.. I get to "edit smoothing" after the other processes (separate, conform etc.). Beat Detective will begin the process, the status bar will begin moving to the right, then a window will appear - "deleting unused fade files". Then after a bit this will appear - "DAE error 9022 encountered" ProTools doesn't crash totally, but you can't play or do anything except save. What is DAE error 9022? I tried searching the answerbase, but it seems to be offline today. I've done 16 bar phrases of the same song with no problems.

Re: Beat Detective 9022 error
If anybody can HELP!
Still haven't been able to get past one place in this song I'm working on. I now am only trying to do ONE MEASURE of 4/4 (edit smoothing). Tracks: Kick, Snare, Snare bottom, Hat, Toms 1,2,3, Overhead stereo, Room stereo. The progress bar will get 25% across and I'll get the "DAE error -9022 encounterd" The regions are already quantized to my tempo grid (a simple 105 BPM no tempo changes, 4/4). I just can't get the edits smoothed. I have checked the drive for errors, optimized it, etc. No change. I have 8.80 Gig of empty space on the drive. Like I said before, I've already done two other songs on this project with no problems, Beat Detective worked like a charm.

Re: Beat Detective 9022 error
Well, I guess it's always best if you have to stick with it and answer your own question.
If anybody wants to know, the reason for all the above is mainly my way of working with live events, that is, I have the whole concert in one long session. I had used Beat Detective on the first two songs successfully, but I hadn't consolidated the tracks yet. By the time I got to the third song there were a million edits for ProTools to keep up with, and it decided to go on strike. Once I consolidated the files on the first two songs, Beat Detective began working smoothly again. There you go...
