Default Mono Mix Monitor Technique (in-the-box)

Is there a quick and easy way to check a mix, in mono, without leaving the box?

What are some other techniques/alternatives?

No there isn't. Isn't that the most ridiculous thing? just plain 'diculous. I use my console for that, so I can't offer any tested workarounds, but I would think that a mono aux or mono master fader could do what you want...Im sure you could figure out some sort of scheme with groups to allow you to handle muting.
