Default Time Code

Hello everyone, my name is Kenard, audio engineer in Orlando,FL. Does Pro Tools 9 come equipped with timecode capabilities or would I have to purchase the DV Toolkit 2?

DV Toolkit provides nothing for PT9. It comes with TC.

What time code "capabilities" are you looking for? PT9 has time code display. If you want to chase, I think you will need MTC. There is no time code input.

But you don't get anymore TC stuff with the Toolkit.

I found this: "Pro Tools doesn't support direct LTC sync, but the MOTU FireWire and USB audio driver does have a feature where it will convert incoming LTC to MTC. Pro Tools can then chase the MTC generated by the MOTU driver."

Yep, it should be the same with TC-equipped RME cards too.
