Default Quicktime bounce video out of sync
Hi,

Everything is in sync whilst in PT but when bounced its out of sync?

I guessing its something to do with ADC or plugins on the mix bus? Anyone found a work around?

everything is set to 25 frames

Hi,

No. is that in the session setup window/syn video and time code offsets.

Not sure how i would calculate an offset? is it to do with the plugins on the mix bus and delay comp etc. I'm guessing its related to that as i think it works if there are no plugins on the mix bus or master output.

Sorry to be slow in replying. I paste this from the latest Readme from ProTools 10.2 release notes..

If Pro Tools has a defined Video Offset and you Bounce to QuickTime, the resultant QuickTime file will be offset by the specified amount in Pro Tools (Setup > Video Sync Offset). To avoid this problem, set the Video Sync Offset to 0 before bouncing to the QuickTime file format.
This is from "Pro Tools 10.2 and Pro Tools HD 10.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.x (“Snow Leopard”) and 10.7.x (“Lion”) — 5/8/12" readme but it's been in other earlier versions as well.

Is this what you are seeing?

im having the same problem. Quicktime video imported into PT's and everything is sync'd. Audio i created to the video matches how i want it. When i bounced all my audio plus the audio from the quicktime movie is delayed maybe 2 sec or something. I have no video sync offset on. Any help?

Interesting am have a similar issue ( sort of) I can import a QT screen recording but when I bounce back out to QT It does it and I can open the movie in QT but it will not play it just stays on the first frame ???? I posted over in the PTHDx and HD Native on Mac forum but no replies so far. Ill check the sync option but it doesn't quite sound like the same problem

It could be ADC causing this but often times it's if the sample rate isn't set in bounce to quicktime the same as it is in the session.
