no idea how to update 6.9 to 7 +

hi everyone, i am an ibook G4 with Mbox 6.9 pro tools owner and im new to internet updates ,codes etc.
can anyone help me by explaining to me some simple steps (if there are) how to update protools.digidesign site is soooo big .....

First go here and see if your version of OSX is compatible with PTLE 7.x . If not go to Apple's site and get the OSX update. (at least I think you can download it from there, but I've never had to.) Then go to the Digistore and purchase the required update. With the Digistore purchase you will get your new activation code for PTLE 7.x, and a link to the download. You should also be ready to download the newest versions of all your plugs. Most of the Digidesign and their Partners plug in updaters can be found here . Any other 3rd party plugs will be on their sites. Most people have released PTLE 7.x compatible plugs. So don't skip this step as incompatible plug-ins can cause issues. That's all I can think of. Oh yeah it's probably best to back everything up first.
