Default count off issues

hey guys im a fairly new pro tools user and im having an issue i cant figure out. When recording the count off is rarely on time. for example im trying to punch in at 73/3/00 so the count off is set for two bars but it will count the two bars plus one and a half. Obviously this is hindering the recording process as it is always changing. any ideas?

Not sure. Is timing set to 4/4? Maybe post a screen shot?

I cannot see from the small/fuzzy screenshot what the visible bar labels/numbers are and if the bar markets actually live up with the recorded audio. You have a conductor track enabled, but we can't see the tempo track in the screenshot either. What is the tempo set to? Where you are trying to do the count in?

Well I'm trying to open it up to take another screen shot but now it's saying "the current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48kHz"?

How I currently have the playback settings

Default count off issues

What the hell is "Instant On Sound Effects"? What Audio Interface are you trying to use?

Hold down the 'N' key while Pro Tools is starting and select the correct interface in the playback engine dialog when it appears, "Instant On Sound Effects", whatever that is, is not ever going to be the right playback engine.

It's always been on that setting since I started using pro tools. I'm using the digidesign eleven rack as the interface

Default count off issues

Then "Eleven Rack" should be the interface named in the Playback engine dialog. Start by getting that set up correctly (do not try to use an aggregate IO device). Make sure you have the correct Eleven Rack drivers installed. And do what I said to select the correct interface on start up.

so pretty much unless the bar is at an even number (63|1|00) the count off will add extra clicks. Right now im trying to punch in at 63|2|00 so the click counts - 1,2,3,4, 1,2,3,4,5.....
