Volume Automation Between Clips
Hi Everyone
New to the mixing game over here... When automating volume - should the volume automation be dropped to zero between clips on a track? Not sure if I know yet what best practice is for this... Thanks, Sparky |

Re: Volume Automation Between Clips
No need to do that. If you have excessive noise on the recorded tracks, I would use some editing, noise reduction, or gating, or just leave it as is. If your plugins are generating noise, they may have an "analog" or "noise" mode that can be turned off. Otherwise, if the tracks are empty between clips, there will be no noise added by Pro Tools.
