Dell XPS M1710 anyone...?

Greetings, just moved & decide to give the wife my old PC. I have 002R & a Lynx card(for Nuendo)
I was all set on getting a MacBook Pro w/Bootcamp and even though I'd still like a Mac why complicate things right now with the posssible Beta BootCmap issues. I don't mind PTLE on XP....so has anybody had success with PTLE and an XPS M1710...Dual Core thing?
