Avid Link: possible ProTools update issue ahead?
Just wanted to know, if anybody else is experiencing this:
The update to Sibelius First 2019 also installs the new Avid Link. But: the installation of Sibelius First on my MacBook Pro 13" Retina (High Sierra 10.13.6) fails with an "communication error" (see screenshot). As does the installation of Audio Score and Photo Score. I repeated the installation, but still, the error occurs. As you see in the screenshot, there is an installation error PLUS the info, that the new version of Sibelius IS installed... ???? I am worried, that, when they roll out the Pro Tools 2019 update, I might run into trouble, when installing it. No need to screw up my system, but I thought, I might shout out a warning in the case, that the Sibelius issue might be an indication for a potential Pro Tools update/installation issue. Any thoughts? |

Whenever they release whatever they release, you will find it from your Avid Account and can install individual parts from there. Give it some time, Avid Link is still new...
