Pro Tools Carbon and Ableton Live on Laptops
Hi,
Lets say I just want my whole studio system to work as intended but will bring different Laptops, yes I got the AVB connectors. What should be the best way to run a ableton live session where the laptop runs everything and I just use PT carbon to monitor everything thru my speakers and use the mic press and instruments connected to Pro Tools Carbon? what should be the best audio or playback engine etc? Thanks |

Re: Pro Tools Carbon and Ableton Live on Laptops
I don't understand any of what you're asking.
What does this mean? How did you intend it to work? Quote:

Will it work with Ableton - I don't know. It does work with Logic. You won't get any of the on-board DSP processing from the Carbon, and the round-trip latency in the DAW for monitoring might be pretty lousy, given that Avid's AVB implementation isn't very high-performance. Quote:
Pro Tools | Carbon I/O Clearly the one marked Pro Tools | Carbon: Reserved for Pro Tools is not intended for Ableton.
