Default Sessions playing at wrong speed...

Hi all

I accidentally recorded a 44/24 session with 44/16 via S/PDIF with a Digital MPA II with my mbox 3. But now when I open older sessions (that were recorded only on the mbox) they are all different speeds...until I turn on the MPA and its fine. This is causing me to panic because sometimes I take only my mbox with me to a recording session. Ive tried import session data but not sure what to look for as Ive never had any problem with this before.

Any help is surely appreciated!

Joe

Not sure why the older sessions would be playing at the wrong speed given that the word length (bit rate 24 or 16) has no bearing on speed, were the other sessions recorded at 44.1 or something else? Sample rate miss matches DO affect the playback speed.

interesting...

I always record at 44/24. I must have accidentally selected 48/24 on my Digital MPA but still doesn't make any sense why all my other sessions were affected.

I temporarily resolved the issue somehow by opening a session I recorded at 44/16 and switched back to internal and everything seems to be back to normal after that...fingers crossed!

Thanks for the input!

Joe
