192 I/O Word Clock Question
I just set up my new HD system with a 192 I/O interface. Feeding into the 192 are various preamps, a HEDD192 and a DIGIMAX 96 as well as some other odds and ends. Both the HEDD and the DM96 are connected via AES ports on the enclosure and the digital card.
I have connected the HEDD and the DM96 to the External Word Clock connection in series. When I set the 192 clock to internal and the sample rate to 96k, it sets the SR on the attached devices to 48k - not 96k. Am I doing something wrong here or does the 192 I/O not produce word clock output for 96k and 192k? Thanks for your help. John |

Re: 192 I/O Word Clock Question
John,
2 things to check... 1) Make sure you are using the EXT CLOCK Out connector, not the LOOP SYNC OUT. LOOP SYNC is always baseband (44.1 or 48) 2) In the bottom right-hand corner of MAIN page of the HARDWARE SETUP dialog there is a pop-up for Ext. Clock Output where you can choose the output rate. Set that to 96kHz. Hope this helps, Jeff |

Re: 192 I/O Word Clock Question
Thanks, Jeff. I knew it had to be something simple. When I first pulled up that external clock menu, the sample rate was set to 44.1 so 96k did not come up as an option.
