Default Why the Elastic Audio errors when i'm only using X-form?

I'm using quite a bit of elastic audio in a song, but all of it is using the 'rendered x-form' setting.

Every now & then i get the "Processing cannot keep up with Elastic audio blah blah.." Error..

How is this so? I thought using X-form, meant none of it was being stretched in realtime?

Yes, that's odd indeed, and you're correct, on render-mode tracks, one shouldn't expect to use much Elastic Audio processing resources. The only possibility might be if you have really tight edits - is it over a densely edited section? Does it happen randomly or in a particular place in the session? What does your Elastic Audio CPU meter read in the system window? And does it happen with 8.0 if you've got it available? There were a few Elastic Audio engine fixes in that release. Also, does it happen on other computers?
