Younger (i.e. smaller) code? Software engineers who stick around (instead of hoping to other companies) and are intimately familiar with the app? Less beta testing? I don't know either, but yeah it's amazing how quickly some companies stay up with technology.

There really isn't a lot of similarities between Pro Tools as an intrinsically hardware-linked DSP DAW platform and other native DAWs in that regard.
