xpand 2 and other plug ins not available
The plugins that come with pro tools first are not available in a midi track or instrument track. I tried using third party plugins before realizing they do not work in first. any suggestions on how get xpand 2 or any other free plug ins to work?

Re: xpand 2 and other plug ins not available
Hey there,
Assuming that your plugins download from the Avid Store are not corrupted... Xpand2! and other Pro Tools First compatible plugins from Avid Store will work after you do a Pro Tools First cleanup. They will show up after it. Follow these steps for Pro Tools First/Pro Tools (it works for both) and for your current OS: http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/...s-preferences/ Good luck. Re: xpand 2 and other plug ins not available
I turned off the firewall and that allowed me access to avid. however I can't seem to download xpand 2. I keep getting a popup that says it will donwload and it never does. there is a refresh button I have tried as well. I even downloaded xpand separately and threw it in the plugin folder which did not work. I'll shut down the mac tonight and see if the restart helps. I have not had this much trouble since i stopped using windows. thanks for the help.

Re: errors when trying to open pro tools and downloading plugins.
Hey there,
Just a some idea here, - Disabled your anti-virus and turn firewall off. - ProTools on Windows OS hard drive. - Add Avid.com to be a secure website in your internet browsers. - Check your router to make sure you are not limited on ports. I don't think it is an Avid issues, so you might not be able to create a ticket and get support from them. Good luck! |
