I believe the color of the jog wheel will differentiate the mc controls. Seems as one was black and one was chrome or something. Don't remember now. Mc mix may be more difficult to tell. I honestly didn't know there were any changes to them.

Here's something interesting about those encoders. I bought my 3rd mix about a year ago, it was black of course but it had the non-smooth encoders. I returned it, and bought another one from a completely different place, it also had the hard encoders. I was baffled by this. Apparently they changed to smooth and then back to the first type, I don't know if this is the case for all units but definitely this batch. I ended up complaining to avid about it and they changed the unit out for me.

The overall built quality could be better. But that they go backwards is new to me.

Or has the Avid Mc control since been updated?

there a euphonix v2 for sale near me.,



it doesnt match my MC mix tho ( thats avid black! )

There was a version two of the euphonics MC control. The touchscreen and the wheel have been improved. I don't know of any changes after the rebranding. But maybe I'm wrong.
