Default Plextor problem

Just bought a Plextor 822 that writes fine at 8x with Toast 3.5.7 and Jam 2.5, but it can't read what it wrote or do audio extraction. My Apple Cd-rom reader can do both, so I don't understand why the Plextor can't.

I downloaded the Plextor 822 patch from www.plextor.com. I tried removing the Apple CD-ROM extension as well as the Toast Reader extension, no avail. The store was kind enough to exchange for a second plextor 822 but that didn't change anything. It looks like a software problem.

I'm running PT Mix+ 4.3.1 on a 9600/350/192mb with OS 8.1.

Are there are software drivers that i'm missing? FWB CD-ROM toolkit needed? Extension conflicts?

Any advice would be great.

The Toast CD reader extension is what allows you to view filesystems on a disc. If that's what you're trying to do, you might have to update your version of Toast.

JOhhny... use Jam Audio extractor. I cannot remember which if the following you need but... you need the JAM 2.5 plugin from Plextor or the newest CD ROM toolkit. But it works fine.
