Soundaccelerator..... Soundtools

Hi, bm,

I have recently came across a friend having a real old soundtools for sale. It consists of the soundaccelerator card, 1 Digital i/o and one analog i/o. I am wondering if it'll work on my old quadra650 and which system or DAE I'll need.

I would like to just use SDII on it since SDII no longer works on my Mixplus....

Hi George,

You'd have to go back to a MacII and sd2 2.7 to get that working.

Your probably better off finding a used AMIII card and including that in your PCI mac.

I'm using a STII Sound Accelerator and the (at the time) new integrated-all-in-one interface with a qudra 650. And I have a friend that is using Sound Tools I with 7100 powermacs, with no problems. no need to buy "new" old equipment.

I used to use one on a Quadra 840av with no problems!!!

But you may be more happy with the AMII (24bit SPDIF input, and best of all Waves plugins)!!!
