Default Re: Avid HDX + Apogee Symphony I/O a good match?

In a few months I would be buying equipments for a studio recording. I have seen Avid hdx - Avid HD I/O - Avid Preamps and they really cost a lot. I have also seen Apogee Symphony I/O and according to their website it can be hooked to an Avid HDX. Its much more cheaper setup but did anyone tried this kind of setup before? Any compatibility issues? Latency still .7ms? Thanks everyone.
