After using Logic Pro off and on for a while now, I think their midi modifier plugins are very useful and much easier to use compared to the real time properties window in Pro Tools. I'm just wondering if there is some sort of plugin that you could put before a virtual instrument to easily change the velocity, add a sequencer, hold chords, etc.

Longer answer: not native to PT but maybe a third party plugin.

Yeah, I figured it would've been some third party plugin. Seems like a no-brainer for me after seeing how much better the midi modifier plugins work in Logic.

Doesn't a VI have to be in the top insert to receive MIDI? Used to be that way. It would be cool if they changed it.

Can be in any insert slot (at least in PT 2021.6).
