Pro Tools 12 wont open, goes to OSX finder window (Error loading sound file)

Some sessions when I try to open it gives me a window in my osx finder to opening something, but it doesnt specify what. Ive tried clicking open on everything and it keeps going back to the finder window. If I press cancel it says "Error loading sound file". Ive tried to create a new session and import session data and that doesn't work either.

Did any of those sessions by any chance have a plugin like Sample Magic's Magic AB instantiated? Or any other plugin that is trying to load an external file?
