Default 2 iloks with 1 license?

I've been working on my sessions at work on my laptop. It's becoming a pain to take the ilok from the laptop to my PC at home so I bought a second ilok.

Does anyone know how to add my license to my new ilok so I can use both?

I've only seen posts on how you cant use pro tools on 2 computers simultaneously but I'm not planning to do that.

Any help is appreciated thanks

Not possible.

You can’t sync one asset license to multiple iLoks. AVID only provides one authorisation per asset.

You could potentially use iLok cloud instead if you’ve got an internet connection on both machines. That can potentially lead to other issues, but is the only solution to your problems.

Default Re: 2 iloks with 1 license?

There is a way to avoid losing or damaging your physical iLok/s in transit: leave one iLok at work and buy a 2nd iLok (which you've already done) to leave at home.

Finish your Session, login to iLok License Manager and move your license from your iLok to your account. When you get to your 2nd destination, login to iLok License Manager and move your license from your account to your 2nd iLok. Synchronize your iLok (within iLok License Manager) every time you move your license.

However, instead of the above suggestion, I strongly recommend the US $30 per year “ZDT with TLC enabled” – only one iLok needed (see Caveat below), which you take with you – but this is way cheaper than adding your license assets (especially when you buy more and more plug-ins!) to your Household or Business insurance – and you’re covered for Theft, Loss and Damage – it’s the quickest way to get up’n running again:

https://www.ilok.com/#!zdt-coverage

https://www.ilok.com/#!zdt-details

https://www.ilok.com/#!zdt-terms

Caveat: you really do still need a 2nd iLok to transfer your assets to, if problems arise. And your ZDT Plan ends when your 1st iLok “ends” – you’d have to re-purchase ZDT again, for your replacement iLok.

Still worth it!

If you go for the 1st option, get ZDT for both iLoks. Remember to slide the "TLC" button to enable it in iLok License Manager
