Quick question on opening/playing files?

Hi,
I have never used pro tools before. I have a dvd full of samples created with pro tools, but I don't know how to open these files. I have installed Pro Tools M-Powered, but it won't open becuase it's asking for hardware which I assume is a part of the program.

How do I open the audio files? Which program do I need. Some of the files types are MDD and the others just says File.
