Default How do I loop samples in PT LE?

I've wanted to use some drum samples in a song so i can have a continuous drum beat throughout the song. However, I have no idea how to do this. I've resorted to laying them down end to end throughout the entire song!! Even when I've laid out, say, 4 bars of a drum beat (or even 16), when I put them back to back there are always timing anomalies to do some empty space at the beginning of the sound clip.

I'm sure there's a better way!!

Set up the grid to the BPM that you want, and then use the TCE tool to strech the sample to fit the grid. Copy and paste that region.

Hi,

to adjust Regions to a bar do the following:
- expand your Transport window to show the MIDI Features
- click on the Conducter icon in the transport window.
- set the grid to to 1 sample
- put the region on the begining of an track and click on it with the grabber tool (the hand)
- select "identify beat..." from the edit menu
- enter the beat:bar values so your selection become bar 1
- now change your grid back to 1 bar and ther you are.

now you can choose duplicate (Region) from from the Edit menu and your Beat will align perfectly.
if you use regions of different length, adjust the grid to the tempo you want using 1 bar as grid size an use the the TC/E option from the Region Tool.

Read your Pro Tools Reference Guide about Bars & Beats mode and rounding. After repeating a region for a loop in Bars & Beats... select all and quantise regions (Command+0). You should repeat regions in a different timeline mode.
