That along with the elastic pitch makes this something I am looking forward to, I hope the price tag isn't too over the top.

Appears to be $49 and you have to buy wrapper for another $49 so more like $98. And if it is such a cheap solution how come digidesign can't do it?

Can you PLEASE make a bass plug-in? I simply cannot believe that with Trilogy basically being dead in the water since Mac went Intel that no other VI developer has come in and stolen their user "bass" (pun intended). Spectra still hasn't announced the Trilogy successor yet, afaik anyway, so there still might be time if you can get that supposedly speedy A.I.R. team on it you could gain a large group of users pretty quickly, I know LOTS of users who, like me, who have all been struggling with losing Trilogy and would snatch up a decent replacement in a heartbeat, it just amazes me that no-other developer has picked up on this and taken advantage of it.

Holy crap.

VERY excited for this.
If the sample videos so far are as good as they look, then Pro Tools really hit the MIDI out of the ballpark (as well as other things). Also excited to see the new plugs, VIs, etc... man, really excited.

As long as they have a reasonable upgrade price from MP Toolkit to version 2, I will be a happy camper.

DigiTechSupport - Any insight as to what a ballpark upgrade might look like (or can you confirm that there will be an upgrade option?)

Thanks!

Yeah, this upgrade is looking really great. I'm excessively excited about it, that's for sure!!! There is a lot of positive features going on . . . I'm a little afraid of the $$ amount.

The whole ADC is a little annoying, and even more when someone from Digi says a $29 plug-in can fix the problem. How about Digi fixes it? But, whatever, it's still possible to work around however annoying it may be.

Despite the ADC thing, the upgrade looks awesome. I think Digi has done a great job of honouring their LE customers, and many of them happen to be pro as well.

I wouldn't mind a few more busses though, 32 is not enough.

Anyone know when it's being released for purchase?

Probably because it's not a "problem" - it's a feature that they choose not to include. If it's something you need, you can get it for $29 or whatever, but lots of people don't need it, apparently enough to where Digi doesn't feel it's necessary to include and can afford to let a 3rd party tackle it.

+ 1 on the MPT -> MPT2 free upgrade.

I dropped a substantial chunk of what I was getting paid to mix a record less than a month ago on MPT so that we could mix songs that had over 32 tracks. (I already had all the plugins and MP3 option) Man I wish software could be returned!!

Hopefully digi will offer a free upgrade of MPT when users upgrade to PTLE 8. Or at least they'll help out people who just bought the thing!

Well, a plug-in is easier than complete integration and there are some technical hurdles that make this more difficult than it may seem (mainly due to how LE branches from HD and how ADC would differ in both branches).

You might want to look at Scarbee Red or there's a new one that seems promising..starts with a V I think. Sorry I can't remember the name - they have a full page ad in one of the recent EM mags...

I don't have any info yet on the MPTK or DVTK upgrade prices, but the LE upgrade will be $149 and TDM/HD $249.

We know people want ADC and it's on our radar, but when or if it will be integrated at some point is not something I can comment about.

Digitechsupt,

I am a current user of DV toolkit... i am really excited about the new complete production toolkit, and have one question about future upgrades.
I really don't remember if i registered my DVTK or not. will this effect my upgrade path? And if it is necessary for an upgrade, how can i find out if i have registered my product?

Thanks...
