My Profire 2626 not work with teh pro tools

hi all

i have the Profire 2626 put i get problem !

when i run the pt i get this massege

"unable to locate M-Audio hardware Macke sure your hardware is connected and turned on"

the 2626 is turned on and connected

please let me run it and what i can do

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x/7.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.

You may want to look at the Help us help you thread as well.

If you are running MP 7.4 then you probably just need the cs5 update

If this doesn't work. Check to make sure you have a supported Fire Wire chipset
It would show up in your Device Manager under IEEE as Texas Instruments OHCI compliant
If you have something other than that then that would most definitely cause you problems

I had the same problem until I switched firewire cables. The cable I was using worked fine on my old 1814, but the ProFire 2626 didn't like it at all. I also bought the Digi approved Siig firewire card which solved some other issues as well.

Can you provide us with some more details? Are you using a mac with bootcamp? If so, the profire 2626 is not supported on bootcamp.

Is your unit being recognized by windows XP at all? Right click on my omputer and click manage, then click device manager. Under sound, video, and game controllers it should say M-Audio ProFire 2626 if the drivers are installed (Might also be in the other devices section). Right click this and click properties. There will be a spot that says device status. Does it say the device is working correctly, or does it say the device is not started, or the device is disabled?
