Default Ipod & iTunes bounce question/problem

Hi,

I'm currently away from my studio, but the last thing i did was to place a 48k 24bit aiff bounce onto my ipod from the session i'm working on! this file plays fine when the ipod is connected to a computer, but as soon as i disconnect the ipod from the computer it won't play the file!?

Is the how it is?

Chris

I think the iPod can only play 16 bit. But I do not understand why it works if connected, and not if its not connetcted though....
are you shure it works?

If you are trying to play the file on your computer, it may only be an alias, and the original file is on the ipod. When you eject the ipod, the file become offline.

Hi,

Well it seems that 24 bit 48k files will play if the ipod is connected to the computer, but won't play when disconnected

This is playing the songs from the ipod!!(not playing them from the library) so the ipod will hold and display the somgs as normal, it just won't play them.
