LOGIC 6.1 OSX DRIVERS OUT!!! YEAH!

We 're having major problems trying to get everything to work. We got a souped up G4/ Dual 1.25 OSX Mirror Drive Door with 1.75GB DDRAM, OS10.2.5, Logic Platinum 6.1, Protools 6.01 and core audio drivers are not installed.....

The problem (well, the main one) is that the DAE driver turns off randomly on playback. No warning, no error meassage, no crash, just silence. DTDM and ESB seems to actually work (unlike before on OS9).

Have tried many variations on pro tools hardware settings - all to no avail. I would have stayed on OS9 only that was giving me so many problems as well (ESB never worked for more than a couple of minutes before turning itself off too).

I am having problems upgrading my lLgic Audio Platinum 6.0 to the new version 6.1.

- For some reason Logic 6.1 doesn't wanna open... and crashes instead. I can still run the 6.0 version though.

I have the exact same system as you and it seems to be fine.

Did you increase Logic's memory size? Also try trashing Logic & PTs prefs (save them somewhere else). As a last resort try reinstalling DAE which sometimes gets currupt. Has the key come loose? - sorry if it's a bit obvious.

I simply forgot to allocate the proper amount of memory.

K wolf, try 10.2.4. I use that and everything is fine.

I'm going to try 10.2.4 in the morning. Could be for some unknown reason??? to install Core Audio drivers but leave it unchecked in the audio setup in LAP6.1. But that can't really be it, could it?

How's OS 10.2.6 holding? [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

10.2.6 works great over here. The 1.2 CoreAudio drivers don't cause the same problems as the previous driver. They seem to be working fine here - but don't choose it in your Logic settings. What are your other setup settings?
