Default US-2400

I was curious what everybody thinks about the new tascam US-2400. I'm looking to buy a control surface for my 002R and can't decide which one. Has anyone used one of these yet. I know alot of people use the mackie control. Hmmmmmm.

I went to Tascam's website to check out the US-2400 and did a little research. I came to the conclusion that in the $1599 price range and 25 motorized faders you can't go wrong! My next move is to go to my local pro audio store to see if they have a floor model to get some hands on before I close the deal. I think you should do the same.Good Luck!!!!!!

I think I will. Does it have the same features as the mackie universal control?

This thing is very cool, but it appears to just be designed to give the user access to 24 channels of faders and knobs at once, plus a master fader. Look at it closely, and you'll see there's not much else going on. So full, "integrated" control over software isn't happening there. It's cool for those who like the mouse for everything else, but would still like grab a fader of knob.
Peace

Is the mackie control the best control surface to get for a ptle system in a small home studio (For the money that is). I think more people are useing it than any other, am I right?
