iLok Question

I'm a newbie to Pro Tools & just got the Mbox 2. Everything hooked up & installed easily & so far I'm really diggin it. Question is, I got the Factory Expansion w/ moogerfooger, JOEMEEKs plugins & all that good stuff. When I open up PT it asks for the iLok key. When I plug it in, nothing happens.

I went to iLok's website & registered & installed their little program. When I try to synchronize the key it says it can't find any keys plugged in. Am I missing something here?

I'm sure this subject's been threaded to death, but my search came up empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Off the top of my head :

-Try various USB ports.
-Be Sure the iLok synchronization software is installed (the drivers that let u sync your ilok with ilok.com... there is an installer for windows and installer for OSX)
-Make sure the green light is on inside your ilok (power on)
-Update 'pace' drivers if they are out of date.
