Understood. It seems to be very well suited to my workflow as well. I like not monitoring through an additional layer of mixer (Focusrite Control), although It does work well, I feel Carbon will be much better suited to my workflow

I have promised myself to wait until 1Q 2021 before pulling the trigger on a new Carbon. Partially to get a little build up of the knowledge base out there and it fits better fiscally at that time. Although I have seen no interest charges for 48 months offers, and it is hard to beat using someone else's money for free.

Just a follow up on this iMac 17.1 tread as it could be useful to some users maybe..It finally works perfectly although I didn't test it deep.I think 17.1 is now on the authorised list anyway. It has been tricky to get it to work, among many possible culprits, it was my firewall: Protools didn't see Carbon with it although Mac OS was seing it...Stopping the firewall, it worked as expected.
Big big thanks to everyone at Avid especially Mark Corbin and Mark Fassler.They took care of my problem!
