Default C24 supported 11 and on?

Will the C24, (not control 24, as I know it will not be supported after 10) be supported for PT11 and on? Just bought two years ago and am hoping for some more milage out of it.

Yeah - I actually want to purchase C24 just now; but am reluctant to do so as in a year's time when PT11 will be released Avid may discontinue the product and I'll be left with a year old C24 ... that would just suck big time. It would be comforting is somebody would reply, but alas I fear that is not going to happen.

Oh and what makes my dilemma even more confusing is the fact that I just purchased a HDX system and would use C24 as DAW controller. Wouldn't it just suck if a year later I couldn't use my whole system because C24 would be discontinued?

it may or may not work. but it was EOL with PT10 so it will not be supported in future releases. Same for the command 8.

Sorry, but that's not quite correct...

The EOL on the C|24 has not been announced...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

I hope they are going to support it for a little longer with PT 11 and above. It not being in the store leads me to believe that they will discontinue selling it, but maybe it still has some life in it. Mind is a few year sold and I cannot afford to buy a new one every couple of years.
Avid could you comment on this please?

You have to realise that the shop.avid.com is now almost exclusively softwares (pro tools, pinnacle, sibelius) and m-audio hardware related. There's still some LE hardware there, like the MBOX but have you noticed that there's no actual controller, or hdx, native cards etc listed there? That's because you have to buy them at one of the retailers. By your logic, the fact that these systems are not listed there would mean they would be close to being discontinued.
