Default clicks during recording using adat

hi, yesterday i was recording drums and i've got some problems, while recording (only recording) the drums and bass i've got clicks randomly into some tracks, i used a 003 racks and a profire 2626 to add more channels, i set up the profire as slave and send via adat port a my 8 channels. sometimes i've got the clicks into 3 tracks at a time and sometimes i didn't get even one. i thought that maybe was a clock issue but, i restarted everything and nothing, the problem keep showing. and suddenly after 5 hours i could record a drum solo (5 minutes length) without clicks. using the same gear and same configuration. i can't explain what went wrong, can anyone help me? i was using an imac21" 3.06ghz and 4 gb ram, recording into the internal drive.(i know isn't recommended to do that)
pro tools le 8.0.4

Recording to the internal drive can definitely add unwanted artifacts... so I would get a FireWire drive as soon as possible.

That being said... have you set the clock to "Optical" under Setup > Hardware...?

I use an Motu 8 pre with my 002 rack via adat. The Motu device has something called oversampling or just sampling. It can be set to 1 or 2 and when setting this to the right value the clicks stopped. Is there something like that on your device?

Did you try setting to Optical in Pro Tools, yet?

yes,and says that can't sync so it changes to internal, and when i set up my profire as master and the 003 as slave and select receive from optical also cause clicks, but it's weird i've used the profire to an apogee ensemble before without any trouble
