Re: setting up cue
I think there have been posts about this before...
But I use a mackie mixer in the tracking room and send analog outs 3-8 (1&2 go to monitor in on the C24)to the "artist" so they can do their own mix. I do a separate line from the aux outs of the C24 to its own fader for the talkback. I use aux send 3-8 in PT to send whatever groups I want. If there are any specific questions, feel free to ask. Re: setting up cue
This is very clearly defined in the manual.

Re: setting up cue
My suggestion would be to run outputs 1-6 from the 888 into the C24 ProTools Sources input using your snake. Then, I would connect ouputs 7-8 from the 888 to the Aux Input on the C24 using XLRF to TRS cables. Run the Aux Output to your talent headphone amp.
In software, setup the 7-8 outputs as the cue output in your I/O Setup. Then, assign a send (I usually use send E for cue) on every track to go out 7-8 and you're all set. -Eric |
