Hi,

I am getting this error message when I try to run Pro Tools LE 'Unable to locate digidesign hardware. Make sure your hardware is connected and turned on. Click OK when the hardware is ready.'

When I first installed it, it worked fine for a couple of weeks.. Then one day, something must have went wrong because the computer went to a blue screen... I don't remember what it said.. Ever since, I haven't been able to open Pro Tools, and I just get that error message.

The Mbox is connected directly, I have tried different USB ports, USB power management is off, I have checked the drivers, and they are installed and working.. and other audio recording programs like Audacity pick up the M-box, just not Pro Tools.

I should mention, that before I installed Protools onto this computer, I had first tried it on my desktop computer... It worked fine for the first couple of weeks, but all of a sudden ... (the same thing happened)... I tried to re-install Protools twice.. and both times it crashed halfway through.. I just assumed it was something wrong with my computer, because it had been playing up in strange ways, and giving me the blue screen of death a long time before I got Pro Tools.. I tried to reinstall windows, but it crashed there too.. So I just moved on to the laptop... Now I'm getting this message on this laptop.. and I don't know what to do Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You!!!!
