DVR2 in the other hand does not have this issue, and will change the sound instantly.
This is not the case... the decay setting stay wrong forever (until I change it to a new value and them back to the right one). but thanks anyway.

Just wrote to TC again today. Let's wait.

Gut feeling tells me they have dropped development of TDM... I think the latest installers are several years old

I agree. As good as these sound, they will probably won't be supported into the future. Softube, the guys who developed the CL1B TDM for TC have also abandoned any future development of their TDM plugins. I wrote them just this week inquiring about my PE1C and FET Compressor and that's what they told me. People can say what they want about Waves, but at least they still support all formats.

Well, if there will flat out be no future TDM updates, they need to let me know (quietly) so I can dump a few plugs while they're still worth something...

This is what I got from TC after two messages...

"Dear Ricardo,

At least they got back to you, but that still doesn't provide a solution to the problem either. I wonder why they're experiencing such a high volume of support requests right now?

Hopefully there will be a fix because this was an expensive purchase. Does anyone know what their history of plugin support is like?

If you're talking about TC's plugin support, especially for third party plugs - sad to say you're out of luck there. Some years back there was a long, protracted brouhaha with the Access Virus plug on the Powercore line. There was a lot of finger pointing back and forth between TC and Access, each saying the problem was with the other party. It eventually got resolved but it took literally years to get it right.

There was also some problems with the CL1B compressor that went back and forth between TC and Softube.

Look at it this way - with TC discontinuing the Powercore line they have no incentive to continue support for third party plugs. TC has said the only ongoing support will be on a case-by-case basis for bugs in their os.

Long story short - TC's history of plugin support is pathetic.

I think that sums it up right there. The current 50% off sale looked tempting at first, but it's still too much money to be spending on plugins that will very likely be unsupported in the near future. It would nice to have the CL1B in TDM format, but paying $700 for it is way too much.

This is corporate doublespeak for "We don't have enough staff"
