Default I\'m Just alittle confused about the Command|8...

Hey everyone, I just had a couple of questions about how the Command|8 worked. From what I understand it is not an interface but you can control everything on protools from it. So if I hit the play button on the Command|8 my music will play. Can you control pretty much everything from this one board? My main question is how do I mix or move volumes for my, say, 30 tracks when there are only 8 faders on the Command|8? Can I choose which tracks I'm controlling? Also, if I name a track "kick drum" on my computer will the track show up as kick drum on my command|8? Will I be able to control my plugins from this board as well? Thanks a lot. -Ned

Yep, Command|8 is a USB control surface only.
Is better than the 002 controller.
You can control almost everything, of course all of the record, play, stop, etc,etc...
Just like many controllers, with the Command|8 you control 8 channels at a time called Banks, so yes
you can control your 32nd channel by quickly moving through the Banks. Not a problem.
You can only control 8 consecutive channels at a time, you can always move your tracks on the Mix window if you need
to control certain ones. As for the track names, a long name will just get shorten just like on your tracks in the Mix window.
You can control your plug-ins, no problem. As well as your busses, automation, record enables, pan, channel select, etc, etc...

Yes, you can control most of the plug-ins out there, including non-Digi plug-ins.
