Default Export Selected bug 12.6.1 - Silence in resulting file

I updated to 12.6.1 last week because 12.5.2 crashed continually on my system. 12.6.1 is running, but I'm having a recurring issue with approximately 2-second blank spots in files which I've created using "Export Selected." They usually show up at the beginning of the resulting file, but at least once occurred in the middle of a file.

What I'm doing is taking completed 96k mixes, peak-limiting them with the Audio Suite Oxford Limiter, then exporting 16-bit WAV or mp3 files. This doesn't happen consistently, but it is about half of the time. Setup is:

PT 12.6.1
2013 Mac Pro (trashcan) 3.7GHz Quad-Core
16GB RAM
OSX 10.11.6
Apollo Quad interface

Anyone else experiencing this? Any thoughts of a solution?
