big pop no sound

hi I'm running my 001 on a G4 quicksilver 733 system 9.2 with 384RAM Waves Gold Native.
The only I/O I'm using is the ADAT connected to an ADAT card on the 02R. Frequenly I get this popping sound and the meters on the master fader go full tilt and after that no audio will play. I have to close the session and re-open it to get it to play again. [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]
Other than that the system works fine, suggestions?

I had that problem a few months ago with PTLE 5.1.1, Mac OS 9.1, Waves Gold.

The problem started with loud Clicks happening at the end of playing a selected region, then developed into the problem with the loud BLEEP and no audio until restarting the session.

Digi support suggested it was a corrupt Prefs file and had me delete some of them. The system rebuilt the prefs upon restart and I haven't encountered the problem since.

I can't recall what prefs they had me dump but it worked so perhaps Brent could chime in with a suggestion here.

Or just give digi support a buzz.

I've had that happen occasionally, also.

Trash the following prefs:

1. Digisetup
2. DAE Preferences folder (NOT the DAE folder)

Every few months it seems I have to trash them...
