tracking waveforms
Could someone please tell me how to have the window "jump" to the right as the transport marker goes off the end of the screen. I like to play visually from cues on my tracks such as midi signals and kick drum waveforms as well as markers that tell me what section is coming up. This is hard to do with an entire 4 minute song on the screen at once. I know this is possible and I'm probably overlooking the obvious.
thanks and sorry if my terminology is not perfect..

Re: tracking waveforms
In the Operations menu.. Scroll Options->Page Scroll During Playback.
You may want to use this in conjunction with the preferences setting "Timeline insertion follows playback".. or maybe not. Note, scrolling while in playback will add demand to your CPU.. so if you have a lot of plug-ins in use.. it may push you over the edge. Rail

Re: tracking waveforms
I felt so sure that would work but it didn't!!! Enabling the page scroll option did nothing. What else could the problem be? Does the song have to be above a certain length for this to work? Help!

Re: tracking waveforms
Try trashing your PT prefs and set the option again.

Re: tracking waveforms
Maybe you're zoomed in too far, once you go past a certain zoom level the scrolling will stop. Check it out.

Re: tracking waveforms
I'll bet that's it, I was zoomed in pretty far to test it out. I'll try again later - Thanks
