Exclamation Will Pro Tools 8 work on my comp?

Will pro tools 8 le work on my computer running with xp service pack 3? I recently bought the protools with the mbox (2 or mini) and when I click the setup icon a blank dialogue box comes up. I meet all the requirements, but I dont see any mention of PT 8 in the OS requirements. I'm confused and my band is counting on me.
THanks for your time!!!

and post a Sandra report. PT8 works fine with XP and SP3, but there could be several reasons why your computer may be incompatible.

Ok.
I have an HP computer that im using. This one is not the HP.
The specs are:
-AMd Sempron 3200+
-1.7gb RAM
-NVIDIA GEFORCE 6150 LE

I hope that helps.
I uninstalled IE 8 on the comp too.
Speaking of which, does the computer have to be connected to the internet?
Thanks!

Follow the link Albee posted. You need to download the Sandra Lite report (it's free!) and then copy and paste it here. These folks can help with anything you need once they see that. Without that, they are blind.

Start there and the answers will come! :)

I hate doing this but... here is quote from that thread.

Windows users need to provide a Sandra report, as indicated in the Setup and General Troubleshooting thread (information on how to download Sandra and generate the report is included in those threads).

The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for Tech Support and other users to assist you - take the time now to document everything you can and you'll save time in the long run.

If you have been referred to this thread and reply without providing the information requested above, including the Sandra report for Windows users, your post is very likely to be given lower priority in favor of those who have provided complete information.

ok, I realize that I probably need a sandra report. And all that stuff. BUT that computer IS NOT the one that I am using now. It is dedicated to the recording.
Question:
Doesn't sandra only create reports for the computer it is installed on?
-Thats a problem if it does, because the other computer does NOT have internet connection.

I guess what I'm saying is I need this software to work. I have limited resources and I would like some suggestions. PLEASE if you have any clue why it might be doing this, tell me. I can try a bunch of things, I just can't go too in depth because I don't have very much time. I realize that you may be flying blind on this one, but I need something to work off of.

I have a stock HP about 5yrs old. AMD sempron 3200+, 1.7 gbRAM, NVIDIA 6150 LE. I hope that helps.

Thank you.

Logically, you would of course run the Sandra report on the computer you have installed Pro Tools on. So hook it up to the internet long enough to run the sandra report.......

I can't install protools because something is being gay with computer.

When I click "setup" it loads for a bit, then a blank box comes up. Every time!
