Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
I spend the whole afternoon trying to make the 408t fader working. They are not being updated by the server so the MC Pro don't see them. What a lost of time. Now I have to reinstall 2.7 to start working. I never had any problem updating the system 5 MC but this time. I would have rather waited another 2 months and have it work properly.

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
I am very disappointed to see the lack of 32 bit support.
This could force me to stay on 2.7 or having to upgrade other non-avid daws to 64 bit |

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
Note that in EUCON 3.0, there is a change to the way that 408 modules need to be updated. This is from the release notes:
Installing/Updating MC Pro & CM408s: (2.x to 3.0) 1. Uninstall the existing version of MCApp on the MC Pro, and restart the MC Pro prior to installing EUCON 3. 2. Install EUCONMC_3_0.exe to launch the installer. Follow the instructions onscreen to install EUCON 3. 3. When prompted, select Yes to restart the MC Pro now. 4. MC App will auto-launch on start up. If you are using an S5-MC, do the following to update your CM408 modules: 5. After it launches, please Shutdown > Exit to Operating System. 6. On the Desktop locate “SFUpdate_Old” and double-click it. This will launch the Update Server for the CM408 modules. 7. The CM408 modules will prompt you to accept the new update. Press the “Y” button (blinking) to accept. 8. When CM408s updates are completed, press Done on the SFUpdater. 9. You can now launch MC App again. |

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
We did get another download page up today that's a little easier to read:
http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...re-version-3-0 Roll - what issues are you seeing? I understand about the gain reduction graphics and the hidden tracks, but what other problems? With 3.0, you should not need to stop/start Eucon when you reboot any of the connected devices. |

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
The gain reduction is not a problem, i understand it could take you a while to implement it, if you will do it one day.
No the problem is that Eucon3.0 is completely useless. (I had to start and stop Eucon this morning by the way) In Protools 11 it work but show every track on the system 5MC, including those who are hide. In Protools 10.3.6, it's completely wrong, I can write automation with faders, so data are going well from the desk to Protools, but nothing go from Protools to the desk, except when i open the session. No meter, no moving faders, no track renaming. If i make a new track, it will show it on the MCPro, but if i rename it, i do not, the faders stayon the value of the opened session and do not move |

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
Are you switching between PT11 & 10.3.6 on the same workstation?
Is it a Mac or PC? |

Re: EUCON 3.0 and system 5-MC
H.G.
I reinstalled eucon 3.0 following the release note you provided. The fader pack were successfully updated. I opened a few sessions on PT11 and the fader packs were working fine apart from a few bugs: 1-If you use the pan knobs they send data to PT but you have zero feedback on the FFT display and on the pan knobs itself (it always display the center value even when turning the knobs). So the automation is working but without feedback. 2-The Aux sends have the same behaviour. they send data to PT but you have zero feedback on the FFT display and on the send knobs (they always display the -inf value even when turning the knobs). 3-You can't load a user set done in PT 10. Apart from those little bugs the system 5 MC seems snappier. I have another start up disk with PT 10.3.4. Is this version compatible with eucon 3.0? I guess my other options are: Plan B : Install 10.3.6 Plan C : Stick with PT 10.3.4 and go back to eucon 2.7... Thanks!
