static sound in playback

I recently did a session in Pro Tools HD. I have Pro Tools 8.3 with a Digi 003 rack. I was informed that i could import Pro Tools HD session data into Pro Tools 8.3. On three audio channels, when i play back the audio, i get a static sound back through my headphones. I do not know what is causing this. Does anyone have a solution?
