Anyone know if there is an upgrade Path option for existing Music Production Toolkit owners?

If yes, I'd assume it's quite a bit more than the DVTK2 upgrade... please please please, I hope there's an upgrade option!!! Times are tough!

This definitely puts LE in a very interesting position against other native systems.
I guess 003 Rack + this toolkit will be about the same price as a comparable FW interface + Nuendo 4.

Marketing theories use a term: "a reason to buy"
The reason to buy PT HD is still ADC (up to 4095 samples), track count and some plugs (like ReVibe for example). I am not sure, if a ADC for LE is planned...

Max G from Digidesign stated over on the GS forum that 'ADC in on their radar' but that it's not a simple thing to do. For now, Mellowmuse will be my ADC hero - we get 10 inserts now, so I won't even notice if one on each track goes to the Mellowmuse ADC plug-in.

Indeed with HD, it's always gonna be the guaranteed track count, the I/O flexibility and the DSP that set it apart as a high-end solution. There's no reason why LE shouldn't have virtually all of the software features.

CPTK looks interesting, indeed! Whether my Macbook Pro can even remotely begin to handle an edit-heavy dub with 128 tracks is another problem entirely.

Does anybody have any idea what the "Neyrinck SoundCode Stereo " plug in that is promised in the CPTK is?

Yes, there will be upgrade paths from DV and Music Production Toolkits. Not sure on pricing yet. SoundCode Stereo is a down-mixer which allows you to monitor surround sessions in stereo. This is especially useful for users with 2-channel peripherals who want to edit a surround session, but don't have enough outputs to monitor in surround.

Will we be able to used outputs 3-8 for standard 5-1 mixing using the included software mixer? I'm assuming that the software mixers would be the same or close to those in HD?
