Default Mbox 3 Pro vs

My Mbox 3 Pro is working great after all these years (8 years) even with the latest Windows 10 and Pro Tools.

Are there any interfaces out there better than Mbox 3 Pro under 1k with at least 4 inputs, 2 headphone jacks, and options for at least a couple of monitors?

Just curious. I almost bought the Avid Apogee Quatro a few years ago but decided to stay with the mbox. I'm not really up on the latest interfaces.

Thanks

MOTU 828es is a good choice. Those Apogee's are good but I don't know how current they are.

MBox 3 Pro is pretty good hardware-wise but the software is inadequate compared to almost everything else.

I'm happy with my 6i6 Focusrite. Does all you want and sounds really good. All the Focusrites do, 2nd and 3rd generation. And they can be really inexpensive. You don't need to spend $1k to get a good sounding interface these days. Their Clarett line is supposed to be even better sounding, but I haven't heard them.

Clarett line has basically same internals, but have faster connectivity (thunderbolt)

Different mic pre, extra headroom, greater dynamic range, different implementation of air mode, optical output… definitely NOT ‘basically the same internals’.

I think Focusrite is USB across the Scarlett and Clarett lineup.
