There's only "clacking" if you write automation moves that slam ther fader down to infinity.
I usually mix at very low monitoring levels and would have been bothered if the faders were noisy. Izhar

I bought the C24 thinking I could avoid buying a 1622 to bring 7 or 8 synths over. I finally printed some stuff the other day using just the FocusRites & wasn't impressed. I wasn't hugely disappointed but I guess I was comparing them to my pair of Calrecs, which I love. But at least it 's one less Digi interface I don't have to buy.
