waves GTR3 native doesn't work in protools le 8

Hi there,
first great forum ,congratulations.

My problem is about waves GTR3 native on pro tools le 8 with a digi 002,when i launch the plugin the window of the plugin appears but with no pictures of the plugin(just a grey window)then protools crushes and the normal error message where i can send the error on the web comes out.

I installed the latest ilok drivers,my gtr3 version is 6.0.00 and i noticed the gtr3 works perfecty in pro tools 7.

I made the update on pro tools 8 cs2 but the plugin doesn't work too.

Well ,any ideas?

i m in contact with waves support but GTR3 doesn't work on pro tools le 8.

I wanna appreciate all of the helps you can give me 'cause the preproduction of my album is stopped and i m near a deadline.

Hi Alex and welcome,

GTR3 works perfectly in PT8 for me, be sure you have the very latest waveshell update from Waves. There have been updates since V6 came out. Are you sure you have no Waves V5 installed.

Does the Waveshell appear in your plug-ins folder? Program files> common files> digidesign> dae> plugins?

he's saying that if you have other waves plugs they need to be the most current versions.

i have 5.2 waves plugs and gtr solo always crashes PT8. pretty freaken irritating!!!

Alex, 6.0.6 is correct for the Waveshell. Launch the standalone version and see what happens. Check the version# by clicking on the "w" in the upper right hand corner.

Sam,
You should not be in V5.2 in PT8, it can cause other issues. You might get away with V5.9.7, but you really should download V6r4.
It also has a much better ilok scheme.

Sam i 've got only GTR3 from waves.

Tom it is 3.5a6 and the standalone works good.

Any ideas?

3.5a6 is good.

At this point I would uninstall and reinstall Waves.

Just to be sure I understand. This worked in the same computer with PT7.xx? No hardware or system setting changes?

i reinstalled waves gtr but same situation.

GTR standalone works but in protools le 8 doesn't work!!!

Waves is touchy about video settings. 32 bit color 1024x 768 min. Under advanced> troubleshoot try altering the acceleration.
